Terms and Conditions

By enrolling your child at the David Stinson Theatre School, you agree to the following terms. These apply while your child is enrolled and until you provide written notice of withdrawal in line with these terms.

General Provisions

  • These terms cover all activities, including Saturday Classes, Evening Classes, and Holiday Clubs.
  • Changes to these terms are only valid if agreed in writing by us. We may update the terms, and your continued enrolment implies acceptance.
  • A "Term" refers to one academic term, and "Term Dates" indicate the session calendar.

Enrolment

  • A free trial session is offered subject to availability. After the trial, if accepted, you will be invoiced through our parent portal.
  • If a class is full, you can choose to be placed on a waiting list.

Fees and Payments

  • Fees must be paid before the end of the term. We accept payments via bank transfer, card, or cash.
  • A 50% sibling discount applies to Saturday Classes 10am to 1pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm,  but not to Holiday Clubs or Ready Set Dance sessions.
  • Late payments incur an 8% interest charge plus the Bank of England base rate. Invoices unpaid after 30 days may be referred to small claims court.

Attendance and Withdrawal

  • Term dates are provided in writing at the end of each term. To withdraw, you must give four weeks' notice, or you will be charged for this notice period.

Holiday Clubs

  • Holiday Clubs operate during school breaks, with hours from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Extended day options are available at an additional fee.
  • No sibling discounts or free trials are available for Holiday Clubs.
  • Cancellations are non-refundable but can be transferred to another holiday club within 12 months.
  • Parents are responsible for providing packed lunches, avoiding allergens, and following any dietary guidance provided.

Health and Safety

  • Inform us of any medical conditions or special educational needs when enrolling or as soon as they arise.
  • Students participate at their own risk, and parents must ensure that emergency contact details are up-to-date.
  • Medication must be labelled and accompanied by clear instructions.

Behaviour

  • We have a positive behaviour policy. Persistent misconduct or behaviour that risks safety may result in temporary or permanent exclusion without a refund.
  • Inform us of any special educational needs or disabilities upon enrolment. Failure to disclose may result in cancellation without a refund.

Safeguarding

  • Our staff undergo enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training.
  • Safeguarding concerns may be reported to David Stinson, the Designated Safeguarding Officer, at info@davidstinsontheatreschool.com.

Photography and Media

  • Photos and videos are taken for promotional purposes. If you do not consent, inform us in writing. Be aware this may limit your child’s participation in performances.

Personal Property and Liability

  • Students are responsible for their belongings. We are not liable for loss or damage.
  • Our liability is limited to gross negligence and capped at the fees paid for the relevant activity.

General

  • Class times and venues may change if necessary. We will provide as much notice as possible.
  • Missed sessions, whether due to illness or other reasons, are non-refundable.
  • Late collections incur a fee of £5 for every 15 minutes after the agreed pick-up time.
  • In cases of closures due to events beyond our control (e.g., government orders), fees are non-refundable but bookings can be transferred.
